Live and let live…a definition

Revelation 22:11 – “Let the one who does wrong, still do wrong; and the one who is filthy, still be filthy; and let the one who is righteous, still practice righteousness; and the one who is holy, still keep himself holy.”

There is almost a “live and let live” attitude expressed here. People are going to do what they are going to do, because you cannot legislate righteousness. Frankly it isn’t our department – it’s the Lord’s. The very next verse says:

“Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done.” (v.12)

Our job is to tell people about Him. The choice then becomes theirs. Oh sure, there are things we can do to influence them in a right way to listen, but ultimately, flesh and blood are not involved, but the Father in Heaven. Live and let live! But make sure you live for Him, because you are the only Bible that some people will ever read.
